Candles made for men -- women seem to like them too

What does a candle smell like? Like a story. Like a scene. Like a moment when two people bump into each other and things change. The story behind that scent comes printed in each package, and is hinted at in the description. Read one and you will get an idea.

These are candles Hemingway would have burned and he's my ultimate inspiration. Not that he’d have give a damn. Like a good novel, the right scent can take you somewhere you’ve never been, bring back a night you’ve never forgotten, or set the mood for one worth remembering. These scents are unapologetically masculine, with a little history, a little romance, and no need to prove anything. Being a man and smelling good aren’t contradictions. And women have always appreciated a man who understands that.

Every vessel is found and upcycled by hand using decoupage, layered with scraps of lives men once lived, or dreamed of living: men’s adventure magazines, Popular Mechanics instructions, military and Scout manuals, old photographs, and pilots’ licenses. There are 19th-century newspapers, ads promising a better career or a better radio, and postage stamps from far-flung places back when getting there was an adventure in itself. Fabric, oil paint, and paper bring it all together. Inside is a hand-poured blend of coconut and soy wax, scented with high-quality fragrance oils chosen to tell a story of their own

My fingerprints are all over these. Every vessel has its own character, shaped by whatever I damn well feel like at the moment. Hemingway would appreciate the approach. No two are alike, and none looks like it came off an assembly line. Sometimes the shipping box gets the same treatment, if the mood strikes me. I make these for myself. I hope you like them too.
